You cannot be an influencer if nobody cares. Before taking offence, think about your messaging. Is the content useful, enlightening, and entertaining or narcissistic, saturated, and unoriginal? Influencers are a powerful ally in the war for attention and dollars. While perceived to have an easy life, they struggle to remain relevant in a fickle and global marketplace. Their followers can create or destroy a brand and influencers assume the role of Damocles between those who sell and those who buy. When one builds an empire based on Social Media posts and mouse clicks, responsibility and relevance must be taken seriously.
